Public traker or UDP

With your service, you can use public tracker.

To use it, you need to activate DHT & PEX option.

What mean "DHT and PEX"?

  • This option will allow you to exchange data with peers without service be connected to a single tracker.
  • The result is that the service is more secure and the transfers are faster with public tracker.
  • However, it is strongly recommended to not enable this option if you use a private tracker (which count ratio).
  • Indeed, in this case, it may happen that some ratio will be lost because data will not be sent to the tracker.

By default, DHT and PEX are disabled . If you do not know if you have it enabled or not:

  • If you don't remind if it's already activated :
  1. Go to your transfer interface, click on "the coghwell" icon from taskbar.
  2. Click on "Network" tab
  3. Finally, check that "DHT and PEX" are activated or not ,depending on your need.
  4. Change must be saved in folder dictionnary
