Stream your files with VLC

Play your files with VLC streaming

• First, you need to download this software.

• Please visit official VLC website :

http://www.videolan.org/

• Choose the one that suits to your system.

• Install it as you usualy do with others software

• To stream files with VLC, you need to use your ftp server as database.

To do this,

• Open your Webbroswer, then

• Access to your server with this direct link:

ftp://login:pass@yourserverurl.

• Login : Your FTP login

• pass : Your ftp password

• Your server URL : Your servername without http or ftp.

• These details are available from your manager in Additional Services section.

• Choose FTP service.

• Then, choose the file you want to play by copy the link address.

Then, go to VLC, in the Media menu, select Open Network Stream

A new window opens:

1 - Paste your selection into the address bar.

2 - Click on Play.

Set up VLC

• Login is your login

• Password is your password

Server Url is your server adresse Without any HTTP

Example: ftp://seedbox123:seed456@front789.sdbx.co 

• Your connection details are available in your manager,in Additonal services, then FTP

• Once your are connected, choose your file by making a right click on it and chosen "Copy link location"

• Then, go to VLC, from Media, open a Network Stream.

• A new windows opens, past your link in the adress bar

• Click on play to watch your video.

Seedbox.fr with VLC and you no longer have to download your files torrents to watch them.

How to use VLC to play a video stream

To do this, go to file manager.

Choose the file you want to watch by clicking on it and copy the link location

Then, go to VLC, in the Media menu select Open Network Stream

A new window opens:

1 - Past your choice in the address bar.

2 - Click on play to read your video .
